NURSE AID I PROGRAM
This course provides instruction in the fundamental nursing skills necessary to deliver safe, competent, and compassionate personal care. The curriculum emphasizes person-centered care and covers topics such as the aging process, effective communication, safety and emergency procedures, infection prevention and control, legal and ethical responsibilities, vital signs measurement, elimination, nutrition, dementia care, mental health, and end-of-life care.
Upon successful completion of the course, students will have demonstrated the knowledge and practical skills required to qualify for testing and potential placement on the North Carolina Nurse Aide I Registry.
The Nurse Aide I Program provides an excellent opportunity to gain the knowledge and hands-on skills needed to enter the healthcare field in a short period of time. Students receive comprehensive training designed to prepare them for success in a rewarding healthcare career.

Attendance is mandatory for all classroom, lab, and clinical sessions. Successful completion of the program requires full participation in all scheduled training hours.
